A scene depicting Prince Genji in what appears to be a spring morning, looking at himself in a large mirror with a lady, while two other ladies are engaged in various tasks.
This series is one of many in the Edo period that carried out an interpretation of the play Nise Murasaki Inaka Genji (updated reinterpretation of the play by Murasaki Shikibu (978-1016)), written by Ryûtei Tanehiko (1783-1843), and published between 1828 and 1842 by the publisher Tsuruya Kiemon. Utagawa Kunisada, an artist closely associated with Ryûtei, contributed his images to the popularity of the work. / Escena, aparentemente de aseo, en la que se representa al príncipe Genji en lo que parece una mañana de primavera, mirándose en un gran espejo junto a una dama, mientras otras dos se ocupan de distintas tareas.
