| Group Description:「馬切り」という芝居が繰り返し上演されるうちに、信孝にかかる捕手や侍に、名題役者がご馳走として付合う演出が作られた。この作品を見ても<8>片岡仁左衛門演じる信孝に、当時売り出し中の花形役者であった<1>中村福助や、<3>市川市蔵がご馳走で付合ったように思われる。が『江戸芝居番付朱筆書入れ集成』のこの芝居の項を見ると、中村座と守田座を掛け持ちの予定であった中村福助が、結局守田座には出勤しなかった事が記載されている。この記述から、この作品が実際の上演を待たずに、予定稿として刊行された作品であることがわかる。 |
