| Group Description:この作品が取材した狂言は、忠臣蔵の後日物語。吉良邸討ち入り後、細川家へお預けとなった大石内蔵之助を、浪士達の世話役を勤めた堀内伝右衛門の日記に基づいて、福地桜痴が執筆した作品。桜痴の作品の中でも最も不評を買った作品で、僅か二十人の観客で幕を開けたという話が残るほど、記録的な不入りとなった。描かれた場面は、切腹の沙汰が下った大石と細川家の当主細川越中守が別れの杯を交わす場面。お預けの身ゆえに、大石の月代が伸びかかっている細かい描写が目をひく。背景に散らした九曜星の紋は細川家の家紋。 |
