| Group Description:「仮名手本忠臣蔵」の大序から十一段目までの通しを五枚続に描いたもの。通しの続き絵を描くにあたり、特定の興行に取材し配役どおりの役者似顔を用いた点に、絵師豊国の工夫が見られる。また作品全体に緑の縁取りを施し、芝居の絵看板めかしている。なお当該興行の眼目は、市川団蔵が早替りを含む七役を勤めた点にあり、そのうちの六役が本作品に描かれている。 |
