| Group Description:Actors Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Jiraya no henshin and Bandō Shūka I as Tagoto hime no henshin. The play is Story of Jiraiya the gallant. It chronicles the adventures of Ogata Shuma Hiroyuki , a wandering ninja nicknamed Jiraiya. The novel was published between 1839 and 1868, in 43 episodes written by various authors. Toyokuni III illustrated it. |
