| 解説 | Straight stitch is the basic technique for sewing Japanese garments, including noh costumes. Here the lining is being attached to the face fabric with sturdy silk thread. After filling the needle with stitches, she pulls the thread through, stretches the material, then adjusts and eases the seam. | ||||||
