| Group Description:年月改印から万延元年9月の製作とわかるが、この時期江戸三座は焼失したため興行がなく、おそらくは見立絵と判断できる。お駒として描かれている<3>岩井粂三郎は、2年前の安政５年４月に江戸中村座で才三郎役の<1>中村福助を相手にお駒を演じている。画賛の「きるゝをおしむ」には、髪結の才三郎と恋仲の白木屋の娘お駒が親から無理に結婚させられた夫に毒を盛り、それが露見して刑場で首を切られることをふまえている。黄色の見立てとなっているのは、お駒のモデルとなった実説の白子屋のお熊が黄八丈の着物を着ていて、巷説に広がり芝居の上演とともに定着したイメージであるかである。 |
